How to talk with other computers on your network using cmd and ip?

Hello Friends.. Today i am going to tell you how to send message to another computer in the same network. For doing this all you need to know IP address of the another computer. When you are in the computer lab of school or college and using a computer. That time you are connected with the LAN (Local Area Network). In LAN network all computer are connected together with the help of cable.

In this network you are able to send message to your friend using a simple batch file. You just need to know the IP address of your friend. How to create this batch file step by step are describe below :

  • Firstly, Press ctrl + r and type notepad. Then hit enter. To open the notepad.

  • Now copy and paste these commands in the notepad file. That are given below :

    1. @echo off
    2. :A
    3. Cls
    4. echo MESSENGER
    5. set /p n=User:
    6. set /p m=Message :
    7. msg /server:%n% username %m%
    8. Pause
    9. Goto A
  • Now save this file with .bat extension and give name whatever you want.

  • Open this file and type IP and message whatever you like to send.

  • After typing message hit Enter.

  • It’s done… Enjoy….

Note: You need to change the username with other computer user name.

Tip 1: To check other computers username use cmd(command prompt) command i.e. net view . Just open the command prompt and type the command net view and hit enter. If you want to check IP address of complete network then use arp -a command.

Tip 2: Before open the bat file you need to verify that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server AllowRemoteRPC set it to 1 if it is 0 both of the computer.
